Cryx force is coming along!

My Cryx starter set is coming along! Spent a few hours last Friday doing these and I’ve made good progress.

I’m going to magnetize the arms on the Slayer helljack, he’s a big fella and I want to be able to transport/store him easily. I was going to pin and glue the arms in place but the pose I decided on has one of his arms come way out so I’m going to take the pins out and glue in some medium-size magnets.

I practiced a bit of wet blending with these guys, it’s a bit hard to see because of the dark color palette, but if you look on the large areas of the ‘jacks you can see the edges get darker. I *might* see if a wash will accentuate the shading but I don’t think you’re really meant to!

So I just need to drill holes for the magnets, glue them in and put some paint over the bases, and I should be nearly finished.

    • Thanks – it’s the Cryx paint set, the colors are really nice and I don’t really hae the colors in my collection yet, especially the bright green (not painted on yet) and gold (Blighted Gold).

  1. Very nice! I’m a big fan of magnetizing models. It’s definitely the way to go. It let me try out the Corruptor, which I’ve become quite a fan of.

  2. My head arrived! Well my warjacks missing head from the box set. Took a week from the USA but can’t fault the Privateer Press guys at all. Great customer service, I even explained that I might have lost it myself and they still replaced it for free!

My Vanquisher will be able to where he’s going now…..
